The course will be led by President of The Monster Factory, Sébastien Croteau, a renowned expert in vocal distortion. Metal vocalist since 1991 (Necrotic Mutation) and throat singer (Tibetan, Mongolia and Inuit throat-singing) since 1996, Sébastien Croteau has mastered an impressive number of extreme vocal techniques. He began teaching metal voices and throat-singing 15 years ago. Since then, he has trained hundreds of voice actors around the world and is known globally as an expert in vocal distortion, extreme sounds and creature voice design.

He began working with video games companies in 2005. Since then, he has specialized in vocal stunt work and creatings the voices of monsters and creatures. He's worked on more than thirty video games (including Gotham Knights, Meet your Maker, Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, Dead by Daylight, Dungeons and Dragons : Dark Alliance, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Far Cry 5, Rainbow Six Siege: Outbreak, Prince of Persia – The Forgotten Sands and Assassin's Creed 2) and has lent his voice to more than 200 characters.

Extreme sounds are prevalent in video games and movies and vocal stunt work is challenging for any voice talent. This workshop is an introduction to learn more about vocal distortion, the myths surrounding it, vocal health for extreme sounds but most importantly, it will give you tips and tricks on how to warm up properly for vocal stunt work.
